Thursday 25th May 2017
This week, in Year 3, we have been learning about the General Election. We have looked at what a snap election is and all the parties that will be taking part in the election on 8th June 2017.
We thought about all the issues in our local area, then we formed groups, imagined we were politicians and created manifestos.
Alongside this, Year 6 have been campaigning for their parties and came to give some political speeches. Then today we were all given a vote (if we chose to register on the electoral roll) and we are waiting to hear the results...
"I can't wait until I am 18 and can vote!" - Hannah
"I cannot wait for the results of Year 6 election and the General Election in June!" - Zac
"I would like to be in Year 6 and go canvassing in the playground," - Caitlin
"What a way to end the half term, learning about the election," - Matthew
