Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic science day at Sacred Heart High School. They did four science workshops over the course of the day. The first was an 'eggcellent' experiment, where the children had to design and make something to try to stop an egg breaking when dropped from a height. Secondly was 'CSI Sacred Heart', where the children identified a murder suspect by investigating evidence, including blood matching and fibre analysis. Thirdly was an animal workshop where the children learnt about and got to handle some different animals, including invertebrates and mammals. Finally the children had the chance to make 'magic' rainbows and learnt about acids, alkalies and universal indicator. All the children thoroughly enjoyed the day!
