Year 3 had a lovely start to the final half term.

On Monday, we were lucky to visit the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, where we learnt lots of information about the Rainforests. This links with our Geography topic, that we have been working on with Miss Bailey.

We looked, in more detail, about the different layers of the Rainforest and the different animals that might live in each section. Then we actually became the layers!

Next, we were sent on a trail around the Rainforest that the museum have created. It was very hot and we got to experience what Rainforest life would be like- minus the rain of course!

After lunch, we took part in an art workshop where we drew some of the beautiful leaves that can be found in the Rainforests. We can't wait to share them with you at our celebration evening later in the term.
