We have had a fantastic week back in school. In History, we pretended to be hunter-gatherers going on a hunt to see what natural materials we would use to survive. The children came up with some fantastic answers and ideas.

We started our new rocks and soils topic in science with an experiment using starbursts looking at the rock cycle. The children had amazing knowledge of volcanoes, fossils and magma and were able to produce some brilliant facts.

We finished our RE topic promises with a class liturgy. This was a lovely way to end our topic and the children read beautifully from scripture.

There was much excitement as the class began their French lessons and loved trying out their French.

We looked at John MCCrae's poem 'In Flanders Fields' and read about the history of the symbol of the poppy and painted our own poppies.

Have a fantastic weekend.
