Remembrance 2018

We remembered those who gave their lives in the First World War this week in a number of different ways.
Our Year 6 Faith in Action Leaders led a poignant Remembrance service for the school on Friday where every child laid a poppy to mark the death of those from Sacred Heart parish who were killed serving their country.
Year 3 made poppies out of clay which they painted and placed around a tree by the main entrance to school while Year 6 created some beautiful pastel pictures.
On Sunday, following 10 o'clock Mass, parishioners visited the graves of the servicemen who died from our Parish and flowers, a candle and stone were placed on their graves.
