Year 5 went to St. Mary's Catholic High School to take part in a session making pizza scones. This was as part of the Design and Technology curriculum's "Prepare and cook a variety of predominantly savoury dishes using a range of cooking techniques." The session involved fully preparing and cooking the food, including a variety of techniques such as measuring ingredients,  'rub in', safe cutting techniques and safe oven use. The children were also responsible for all washing up, drying up and tidying their work stations. The children enjoyed the session a lot and look forward to sharing their finished product with their families.
